Cape Fear Christian Academy’s middle school basketball teams took a pair of Southeastern Conference wins at Village Christian of Fayetteville on Thursday.
A 51-50 victory in the boys game completed the sweep. Brandon Brooks had 15 points and four steals as CFCA improved to 10-1. London Hinson had nine points and five rebounds. Fisher Stancil scored nine points.
Cade Godwin had seven points and two steals for the Eagles. Eli Shwaikeh contributed five points and two steals. Ethan Beasley had four points and five assists. Chris Crume added two points and two rebounds.
Aubrey Horne scored 10 points in a 28-7 win for the CFCA girls (10-1).
Bailey Avery tallied six points. Lily Kate Dupree netted four points. Ella Wilborn and Christiana Wynns had three points each. Lily Stanley scored two.
The CFCA teams have Homecoming games today with Cresset Christian of Durham. The middle school boys play at 3:30 p.m. with the middle girls scheduled for 4:45 p.m.
