Village Chrsitian took a pair of wins Monday at Cape Fear Christian Academy’s middle school homecoming.

The Knights prevailed in the girls game, 48-18, despite eight points by Ella John Dupree, who was later named the homecoming princess. Rachel Clearman scored five points. Aubree Bass tallied three and Laney Trainor added two points for the hosts.

Zeke Brock had 28 points for the CFCA boys in a 48-40 setback. Jakson Cullen scored six points for the Eagles. David Clearman had three points and Trevor McLamb netted two points.
