CFCA registers middle school sweep over Liberty

The Cape Fear Christian Academy middle school boys basketball team completed a Southeastern Conference sweep of visiting Liberty on Monday with a 49-36 win as Zeke Brock scored 28 points.

Jakson Cullen added 16 points for the hosts. David Clearman scored three points and Wyatt Medlin tallied two.

The CFCA girls won, 40-4, holding the margin down with two points in the third quarter and scoring six in the final period.

Ella John Dupree had 11 points for the hosts and Rachel Clearman tallied eight. Aubree Bass provided seven points, Harmony Horne had six and Laney Trainer added four. Perri Caroline Ennis and Bailey Dunn had two points each.

The Eagle middle school boys host Freedom Christian on Tuesday (Jan. 29) at 3:30 p.m.

The CFCA middle school teams (boys and girls) close the regular season at St. John Paul II in Southern Pines on Thursday.
