Cape Fear Christian Academy competed in a cross country meet on Tuesday at the Jordan Soccer Complex in Fayetteville.

Northwood Temple Academy hosted the event. Freedom Christian and Village Christian also were on hand.

The boys ran first with Jaden Crumley of CFCA finishing the five-kilometer course in 23 minutes, 41 seconds for sixth place among 19 in the field.

Trey Tripp of the Eagles was ninth in 24:52 and Chase Garcia was 16th in 30:28.

Ruby George was fourth among 17 girls in 27:14. Trinity Olive ran despite not feeling well and was 15th in 40:15.

“Our runners had better times than the first meet here,” said CFCA coach Katina Maya.

The Eagles go to the final Sandhills Athletic Conference meet at Fayetteville Christian on Oct. 18.
