Cape Fear Christian Academy’s softball teams traveled to play Grace Christian of Sanford on Thursday.
The CFCA middle school team remained unbeaten with a 5-1 win.
The varsity was dealt a 4-3 walk-off loss despite two hits each from Megan Harrold, Larah Tripp and Kristina Kennedy.
The varsity Eagles looked to regroup for a matchup with Lee Christian on Friday at 4 p.m. Seniors Rhyleigh Horne and Averi Williams were to be recognized prior to the game.
The top-seeded CFCA middle school team will host Village Christian on Monday at 4 p.m. in the semifinals of the Southeastern Conference tournament.
