Cape Fear Christian Academy won its Sandhills Athletic Conference junior varsity volleyball match with visiting Fayetteville Christian 2-0 (25-17, 25-17) on Tuesday.

Essentially the same group of players for the youthful Eagles pushed the Warriors to five sets before falling, 3-2, in the varsity contest.

“We may have worn down a littl bit, but overall a good effort,” said CFCA coach Calvin Gaines.

CFCA continues league play at home against Freedom Christian on Thursday.
