Cape Fear Christian Academy split its nonconference varsity basketball games with visiting United Faith of Charlotte on Saturday.
CFCA took a 42-34 win in the girls game before the Falcons won the boys game, 82-32.
Cailee Ray and Ella John Dupree scored 12 points each as the Lady Eagles improved to 7-1.
The CFCA girls outscored the visitors, 16-8, in the fourth quarter.
Lainey Trainer had eight points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Madeline Brocious had six points. Mariah Bell and Perri Caroline Ennis each had two points.
Ennis had six rebounds and three steals. Bell had five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Trinity Olive had five rebounds. Dupree made four steals.
Camryn Williams led United Faith (1-6) with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Deshawn Woods and Trevor McLamb had nine points each for the CFCA boys. David Okropiridze tallied eight.
United Faith (9-3) was coming off a 73-72 loss in overtime at Greenfield on Friday night in a matchup of the top two teams in the MaxPreps rankings for NCISAA 1-A teams.
Campbell coach Kevin McGeehan was on hand to see the talented Falcons, who were led by 18 points each from Marcus Willis and Alex Bates. Xavier McKelvy had 17 points for UF.
“That was a very talented group,” said CFCA coach Dwain Ellis. “I told our guys that was a measuring stick in terms of where we are in competing for a state championship.”
The Eagles (4-4), who are ranked No. 9 among 23 teams in the NCISAA 1-A class, start play in the Crusader Classic at Grace Christian in Sanford on Monday at 2 p.m. against Mount Zion (7-8).
CFCA has been without point guard Zeke Brock since November 16 due to an ankle injury.
