Cape Fear Christian Academy won three Mid-Carolina 1-A Conference basketball games at Lee Christian on Tuesday night.
The Eagles completed a sweep as the varsity boys took a 69-50 win to improve to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in league play. Zeke Brock scored 27 points, Brandon Surles tallied 14 and Caden Scarborough added 12.
The CFCA varsity girls posted a 47-25 victory to improve to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Ella John Dupree had 14 points, Perri Caroline Ennis scored 11 and Meredith Taylor tallied seven.
“Great all-around effort from both teams,” said varsity coach Dwain Ellis. “Good, balanced attack for the boys. Defense could have been a little better. The girls improved on reducing turnovers.”
The Eagles took the junior varsity boys game, 76-25, as four players scored in double figures. Brandon Brooks had 16 points, Caden Scarborough netted 15, Kayden Dunkins hit 14 and Elijah Ellis finished with 11.
Justin Chestnut had 10 rebounds and Dunkins grabbed eight as the CFCA JV moved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the Mid-Carolina Conference.
The Eagles host Berean Baptist for JV and varsity boys games on Friday beginning at 4 p.m.
