Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity volleyball team completed a busy span by topping host Lee Christian, 2-1, for the Falcon Invitational championship on Saturday.
CFCA (8-3) downed North Hills of Salisbury, 2-0 (25-15, 27-25), on Saturday morning before falling to Lee Christian, 2-1 (14-25, 25-18, 12-15), in round robin play. The Eagles beat Berean, 2-0 (25-11, 25-14).
After dropping the first set in the final, 25-20, CFCA rallied to win the match, 25-17 and 25-22.
Bailey Dorman of the Eagles was MVP of the tournament and Larah Tripp of CFCA made the all-tournament team.
The Eagles hosted Crossroads Christian of Henderson in Mid-Carolina Conference soccer and volleyball matches on Friday.
CFCA won middle school volleyball, 2-0, to start a sweep. The Eagles prevailed, 2-0, in junior varsity volleyball by set scores of 25-17 and 25-18.
The CFCA varsity moved to 2-1 in league play with a 3-0 victory (25-22, 25-15, 25-23).
Soccer
Crossroads swept boys soccer matches after a rain delay.
The Colts took a 2-1 middle school win with Tyson Stephens scoring an unassisted goal for CFCA.
Caleb Scarborough had both goals for the Eagles as Crossroads won the varsity boys match, 5-2. Zeke Brock had a pair of assists.

CFCA visits St. Patrick’s of Fayetteville on Monday in middle school soccer and volleyball. The boys will play at the Jordan Soccer Complex.
CFCA hosts Bradford on Tuesday in varsity boys soccer, middle school volleyball and varsity volleyball.
