CFCA takes 12-2 varsity baseball win over Wilson Christian in six innings

Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity baseball team opened play in the Patriot Invitational at Faith Christian School in Rocky Mount on Thursday night with a 12-2 win over Wilson Christian in six innings.

The Eagles (2-1) meet Freedom Christian (3-1) in the event on Saturday at 4 p.m.

CFCA was led offensively by junior Conner Parrish, who was 4-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs.

Fisher Stancil went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Taylor Smith had a hit and scored three runs. Cooper Davis had a hit, two stolen bases and drove in a pair of runs. Tyson Stephens had a hit and Mason Gregory drove in a run.

Eli Burns allowed two hits in four innings with five strikeouts. Stephens pitched two innings with one hit and one strikeout.
