Cape Fear Christian Academy began its Sandhills Athletic Conference schedule with a 7-2 win over visiting Fayetteville Christian on Tuesday.
“It’s a great confidence builder for such a young team,” said Eagles coach Page Jackson.
Singles winners for CFCA included Madeline Brocious at No. 2, Anna Jackson at No. 3, Karson Hamilton at No. 5 and Cami Gustis at No. 6.
The Eagles swept the doubles as Ella John Dupree and Brocious teamed at No. 1, Anna Jackson and Hamilton combined at No. 2 and Molly Barefoot and Nina Sauer won at No. 3.
CFCA (1-1) is scheduled to play a SAC match against Freedom Christian at the Fayetteville Racquet Club on Thursday if the weather permits.
