The North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association held seeding meetings in Greensboro on Sunday for its state basketball tournaments. Cape Fear Christian Academy received berths for its girls and boys teams.
The CFCA girls (8-12) will travel to Kerr-Vance (14-7) in the first round on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. tipoff. The winner of that game will meet the winner between Tuesday’s game that sends Crossroads Christian (1-16) to Northeast Academy (10-12).
The winner of the second round game goes to third-seeded Victory Christian (20-4) in the quarterfinals.
The Burlington School (22-1) is the top seed for the girls.
CFCA boys at home Thursday
The CFCA boys (18-15) received a first-round by and will play at home on Thursday against Tuesday’s first-round winner of a game that sends Albemarle (13-9) to John Paul II (7-14) of Greenville.
Greenfield (29-4) is the top seed for the boys.
