CFCA’s middle school Royal team in volleyball and the Eagles’ middle school boys soccer team each play at 3:30 p.m.
A junior varsity volleyball match is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., followed by a varsity match.
The Eagles take on the Colts in varsity soccer at 5 p.m. The visitors will play without senior Trevor McLamb due to an ankle fracture.
CFCA had ‘Cowboy Night’ at home on Thursday in varsity volleyball and rode off with a 3-2 (10-25, 25-11, 25-16, 21-25, 15-9) win over Southside Christian, the program that Paul Hobbs coached before joining the Eagles last year.
Bailey Dorman had 17 kills for the Eagles. Abby Hobbs had 28 assists and seven kills. Meredith Taylor had five blocks and nine kills. Dorman and Hobbs each served four aces. Aslan Parrish had three aces.
The JV also started slow but came back for a 2-1 (9-25, 25-23, 15-11) victory.
The CFCA middle school Gold volleyball team took two matches at St. Patrick’s of Fayetteville to improve to 6-0.
Ethan Beasley had two goals and an assist in a 3-1 middle school boys soccer win over St. Patrick’s at the Jordan Soccer Complex in Fayetteville on Thursday. Tyson Stevens had a goal in the victory.
The Eagles took an 8-1 tennis win over visiting Harrells on Thursday as Ella John Dupree, Aubrey Jackson, Nina Sauer, Karson Hamilton and Anna Jackson had singles wins at Nos. 1-5. CFCA coach Page Jackson advised Savannah Autry to default at No. 6 because she was experiencing knee pain.
CFCA will host Wake Christian in their inaugural middle school girls golf at Keith Hills at 3:30 p.m. The Eagles are coached by former Campbell standout Braxton Wynns.
