Cape Fear Christian Academy’s volleyball teams took wins in two of three matches on Tuesday.
The Eagles faced Grace Christian of Sanford, taking wins on the middle school and junior varsity levels.
CFCA faced a 10-4 deficit in the first game of the middle school contest at home, but used a 21-4 run for a 25-14 victory. The Eagles won the second game, 25-21, to improve to 5-0 on the season.
In action at Grace, CFCA took the junior varsity match, 2-0, before falling, 3-1, in the varsity contest.
“We’re just getting away from the fundamentals right now,” said CFCA coach Calvin Gaines.
The CFCA JV is 4-0.
The CFCA middle school team has a Southeastern Conference doubleheader at home on Thursday at 4 p.m. against Sandhills Classical. The JV and varsity teams visit Lee Christian in Sanford on Thursday.
