Cape Fear Christian Academy recognized seniors Kristen Bass and Meghan Taylor before taking a 3-0 varsity volleyball win over Riverside Christian on Monday afternoon.

Both girls are in their 14th year at the school, having started in pre-kindergarten.

CFCA improved to 8-7 with the nonconference victory.

Set scores were 25-10, 25-16 and 25-10.

Meredith Taylor had five aces with four others serving two each. Meredith Taylor had three blocks and Talisha McNeill had two.

“Serving was the number one thing that helped us,” said CFCA coach Brittany Ter Meer. “Our serving game is what I think will continue to be our strongest aspect.”

CFCA visits Northwood Temple for Sandhills Athletic Conference junior varsity and varsity matches this afternoon.
