Cape Fear Christian Academy played its first home varsity volleyball match of the season on Tuesday and got its initial win under first-year coach Brittany Ter Meer.
The Eagles defeated Riverside Christian of Fayetteville 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-12).
“The girls showed a sense of unity out on the court, everyone was performing their jobs and performing them well which resulted in our victory,” Ter Meer said. “Although our opponent was a young team, our team did well at limiting errors on our side which contributed to helping us win.
“Serving was an important part of the game because when our serves are in, we prove to be successful.”
