Chapel Hill seniors Jake Smith and Tyler Hansen combined for a one-hitter on Thursday night as the Tigers took a 9-1 nonconference baseball win over visiting Western Harnett.

Smith struck out eight over six innings.

Junior Bradley Wilson had a triple and scored the lone run for the Eagles in the fourth inning.

Colin Liebe was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs to lead Chapel Hill (3-0) offensively.

Western travels to Alexander Central for a game Saturday at 4 p.m.
