Chatham Central took nonconference varsity basketball wins at Harnett Central on Thursday night, prevailing 60-25 in the girls contest before topping the Trojans, 54-48, in the boys matchup.
Amare Boone had 10 of his 17 points for Harnett Central (2-6) in the second half. The Trojans got 11 points from Nick Avery. Johnathan Patterson and Jahlil Surles added seven points each. D.J. Brown scored six points.
The Lady Trojans (0-7) were led by eight points apiece from Sandra Berry and Leah Greer. Nylah Cummings had four points, TaNira Edwards scored three and Victoria Langdon added two.
Harnett Central has All American Conference games with visiting Overhills on Tuesday.
