Cleveland scored three times in the bottom of the fourth for a 3-2 lead and that was the final margin as the Rams won their NCHSAA 3-A softball playoff game with Triton on Friday night and moved on to the third round.
The Hawks, the runner-up in the Tri-County Six Conference, finished the season 18-7.
Alexis Howard went 2-for-2 for Triton and scored both runs. Kaila Cooney, Brittany Ireland and Allure Smith also had hits for the Hawks.
Appalachian State signee Leanna Whaley pitched a complete game.
The Rams (16-3) had topped Triton on the road, 4-1, on April 12.
Cleveland hosts Eastern Alamance (16-8) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
