Host Clinton dealt Midway its first baseball loss on Tuesday night, 3-2.
The hosts took a 9-0 win in girls soccer.
The Raiders avoided a sweep with a 12-0 varsity softball win as Laura Person pitched a no-hitter. Midway scored four runs in the first inning and added six more in the second, winning in five innings.
The Dark Horses trailed 2-0 in baseball going to the bottom of the seventh.
The Raiders fell to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the East Central 2-A Conference going into a home game Thursday night with East Duplin.
“We made a bunch of errors and baserunning miscues,” said Midway coach Jason Fussell. “It was a bad night for us, but Chandler (Williford), Eli (Culbreth) and Sawyer (Sutton) pitched well enough to win.”
Austin Peterson had two hits with a double for the Raiders. Carson Calcutt had a hit and an RBI. Cameron Barefoot, Cameron Calcutt, Cal Tyndall and Colby Pope (double) also had hits for Midway. Barefoot and Sutton scored for the visitors.
The Raiders outhit their hosts, 7-1. Logan Spell pitched a complete game for Clinton. He allowed one walk and had four strikeouts. Zeth Pearson had a hit for the Dark Horses.
Williford walked five and struck out five over five innings. Culbreth walked two and had three strikeouts in an inning and one-third.
Clinton did not have an earned run.

Clinton won 9-0 in girls soccer as Taylor Spell had four goals and two assists. Ashlyn Williams had three goals and one assist.
