Coats-Erwin downs Highland, 15-3, in baseball opener

Coats–Erwin Middle School pounded out 13 hits in a 15–3 baseball win at Highland on Monday in the season opener for both teams.

Jamari Thompson allowed no earned runs on the mound, giving up two hits and striking out seven while walking one.

Braxton Davis had four hits to lead the Falcons offensively. Jalen Evans had three hits, and Hunter Thompson hit two triples.

Jamari Thompson, C.J. Herring, Gavin Klein, and Wyatt Avery also had hits for Coats-Erwin.

The next game for the Falcons is at Shughart on Tuesday.
