Coats-Erwin softball 8-0

Coats-Erwin won 16-0 in softball at Shughart on Wednesday.

Ava Blackman pitched the complete-game shutout for the Falcons, yielding one hit, two walks and two hit batters, with seven strikeouts.

Tristan Ennis was 4-for-4 at the plate, including a double and a home run, with three RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Falcons.

Blackman had three hits, including two doubles, two RBIs and three runs scored. Zeah Ennis had a double, one RBI and three runs scored. Juliana Dinh had one hit and two RBIs. Gracie Byrd had one hit and three runs scored. Marley Colville and Madison Howlett scored two runs apiece. Ashari Watlington scored once.

Coats-Erwin took a 19-1 win at home against rival Dunn on Thursday.

Blackman took another complete game win in the circle for the Falcons, yielding one earned run on one hit and five walks, with eight strikeouts.

Tristan Ennis had another 4-for-4 effort at the plate to lead the Falcons, including a pair of doubles, with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Kimah Warren had three hits, two RBIs and three runs scored. Blackman had three hits and three runs scored. Zeah Ennis had a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. Caylon Avery had one hit, one RBI and one run scored. Colville had one hit and three runs scored. Jaliyah McDougald scored twice. Byrd and Howlett scored one run apiece.

Harmony Horne had one hit, Reagan Bradham had one RBI and Stephanie Davis scored once for Dunn.

The pair of wins improved Coats-Erwin’s record to 8-0 on the season.
