Coats-Erwin’s softball team beat visiting Highland 21-0 in three innings Thursday to clinch at least a share of the middle school conference championship.

Ava Blackman pitched the complete game shutout for the Falcons (10-1), yielding two hits and two walks, with five strikeouts.

Tristan Ennis had two hits, including a triple, two RBIs and four runs. Caylon Avery had two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored. Gracie Byrd had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Kimah Warren had two hits, including a double, and two runs scored.

Marley Colville had one hit and three runs scored. Jaliyah McDougald had one hit and two runs scored. Zeah Ennis had three runs scored. Blackman scored twice. Madison Howlett scored once.
