CU women’s soccer tops The Citadel, 2-1, in exhibition

The Campbell women’s soccer team hosted The Citadel in an exhibition match on Friday and rallied for a 2-1 win at the Eakes Athletic Complex.

Rosie O’Neal had the tying goal and Katie Lockwood scored the game winner.

CU used 27 players in the exhibition.

The visitors took a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute with O’Neal netting the equalizer in the 15th minute off a deflection by the Bulldogs goalie.

Lockwood tallied on an assist from Alexa Genas in the 73rd minute.

The Camels are scheduled to start the season at home against UNC Greensboro on Sunday, August 25, at 7 p.m.
