All-Star baseball and softball teams from Dunn embark for district tournaments in the Dixie Youth playoffs this weekend.
Dunn’s AAA (10-and-under) and Majors (12-and-under) baseball All-Stars will be playing in Raeford starting Saturday.
Dunn’s three softball All-Star teams will be playing in Pembroke beginning this evening.
Majors
The Dunn Majors All-Stars face Lillington in their first game on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Members of the Dunn Majors team include Jarrett Cooper, Gabe Dapuyen, Braxton Davis, Jalen Evans, Anthony Jones, Wyatt Lucas, John McLamb, Ross Stevens, Jamari Thompson, Hunter Tyndall, Tripp Westbrook and Jax Woodall. Head coach is Charlie Stevens.
AAA
The AAA All-Stars meet Hope Mills National on Saturday at 2 p.m. The team is comprised of Braiden Arendt, Tres Daughtry III, Alan Hinson, Cole Holbert, Harrison Johnson, Kasey Lee, Kaleb Phillips, Wyatt Scott, Jayden Stephenson, Tanner Williams and Camden Wilson. The AAA head coach is Tommy Daughtry.
Ponytails
The Ponytail (12-and-under) softball All-Stars face Moore County at 7:30 tonight. Team members are Aubree Bass, Ashley Blivin, Berkley Campbell, Marley Colville, Anna Dudley, Harmony Horne, Carmyn Ivey, Lindsey Knoll, Lilly McLamb, Jazmin Rummel, Emily Scott and Emily Williams. The head coach is Jeremy Bass, who directed Dunn to the 10-and-under World Series championship in Louisiana last year.
Angels
The Angels (10-and-under) softball All-Stars take on Lee County this evening at 6. The Dunn team includes Reagan Adams, Mollie Bass, Kara Beth Benton, Samantha Carter, Jordyn Christopher, Ella Clark, Aubriannna Collaso, Olivia Crumpler, Zoey Godwin, Peyton Herring, Eva McLamb and Addison Stanley. Coach of the Angels is Cullen Clark.
Darlings
The Darlings (8-and-under) All-Stars are matched against Hoke County this evening at 6. Team members are Janiah Amerson, Karson Dickinson, Iliana Eason, Lauralee Harris, Aubrey Horne, Abigail Johnson, Analeigh Jones, Kelsey Matthews, Jazmine McLean, Mackenzie Odom, Macy Raynor and Katelyn Vann. Coach of the Angels is Nena Schneider.
