Dunn Majors win district

The Dunn Majors (12-and-under) baseball All-Stars wrapped up the Dixie Youth district championship with a 15-0 no-hit win over Coats on Wednesday night in Raeford.

Ross Stevens had nine strikeouts in three innings for Dunn. Coats received two walks.

There were schedule adjustments due to storms.

The Dunn All-Stars advance to the state tournament in Kenansville, which gets underway on July 14.

Coats is planning to play in the small-league state tournament in Kenansville. That event begins July 14.

Lillington received a berth in the larger-division state tournament in Kenansville, along with Dunn.

The World Series is in Lumberton.

Ross Stevens had a no-hitter for Dunn on Wednesday evening.
