The Dunn Recreation Department held opening night in softball on Tuesday.

In the Ponytails (12-and-under) division, Tarheel Collision topped First Federal Bank. Samantha Carter scored three runs in the win and Kara-Beth Benton scored two. Aubrianna Collasso and Mollie Bass each scored one run for First Federal.

In the Angels (10-and-under) division, Dunn Rotary defeated Highway 55 by a score of 9-1. Iliana Eason and Makenzie Odom each scored two runs in the win. Kelsey Matthews scored in the loss.
