Dunn teams knocked out of Dixie state baseball tournaments

The third day of the Dixie Youth AA (8-under) and AAA (10-under) State Baseball Tournaments saw host Dunn eliminated from both tournaments Monday.

In the AAA tournament, Dunn fell 14-4 to Dallas to finish a game that started Sunday but was suspended after two innings because of severe weather.

Gavin Blackman had two hits and one run scored, Asher Tyndall and Braxton Swaim each had one hit and one run scored, William Bass had one hit and Xaiden Brent scored once for Dunn.

Cooper Addis had two hits, including a double, and two runs scored and Grayson Fulcher had three runs scored to lead Dallas.

In the AA tournament, Anson Athletic’s defense across the final three innings was the difference-maker as Dunn fell 16-7.

Brody Reardon had three hits and two runs scored, Dagen Kerley had three hits and one run scored and Kole Isenhour had three hits to lead Dunn.

Sam Hudson, Emery Peregoy and Grayson Swaim each had two hits and one run scored. Jackson Williford had two hits, including a double. Ayden Gary, Henry Lawson and Rhett Hamilton each had one hit and one run scored.

E.B. Carpenter had four hits and two runs scored, Reese Conklin had three hits, including a double, and two runs scored and Jax Hyatt and Brandon Stansbury each had three hits and two runs scored to lead Anson.
