Dunn youth basketball tournaments completed

Boys youth basketball tournaments held by the Dunn Recreation Department have been completed with Team One topping Team Seven 23-22 for the 10-and-under championship and bottom seed Team Five taking the 13-and-under final with a 38-15 triumph over Team Two.

Romello Pegues led Team One in the 10-U final with 20 points and Demarbiaz Devane was the leading scorer for Team Seven with 11.

Elijah Holmes paced Team Five in the 13-U with 12 points. Marquis Wheeler had six points for Team Two.

Team Seven, pictured above, was the runner-up in the regular-season and tournament in the Dunn 10-and-under boys basketball league. On the second row are Lionel Poindexter, Brady Wilson, Demarbiaz Devane Jr., Kash Perry, Everett Jackson and coach Nathan Plata.

Team Five, champions of the Dunn youth 13-and-under boys basketball tournament are pictured above.
