Opening ceremonies were held Saturday morning for Dunn’s youth baseball and softball leagues.

Jeremy Bass, coach of the Dunn Angels softball team which won the Dixie World Series in Louisiana in 2017, threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Nathan Harris Athletic Complex at Tyler Park.

Bass played at Tyler Park as a youngster. His daughter, Aubree, was a key performer for the World Series champs.

The 2017 Dixie World Series champions stand behind a large poster that will be displayed to recognize their accomplishment.
