Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity basketball teams each finished 1-1 in the Senior Classic completed Saturday at CFCA.
Fayetteville Christian topped the hosts, 69-34, in the girls championship game despite 10 points and five rebounds by Perri Caroline Ennis.
Ella John Dupree had eight points and Laney Trainer scored five. Trinity Olive, Mariah Bell and Anna Avery tallied three points each. Madeline Brocious added two.
The Lady Eagles were without Cailee Ray due to a softball commitment. Ray had 25 points in a first-round win.
The CFCA boys took a 35-0 halftime lead against Father Capodanno and won, 66-8, as Zeke brock and Deshawn Woods scored 15 points each for the Eagles. Jakson Cullen netted 14. Brock had four assists.
Jackson Bolton had five points for the Eagle boys, who visit Wake Christian on Tuesday. Reid Miller had four points and seven rebounds. Elijah Ellis had four points. Barrett Raynor had three points. Lathan Wilborn, Brandon Surles and Gavin Harris finished with two points each.
Berean Baptist won the boys championship, 81-51, over Village Christian. Father Capodanno downed Beeean in the girls consolation game.
