Eagles add MCC MS girls soccer championship

Cape Fear Christian Academy completed an unbeaten season in Mid-Carolina Conference play by winning the league tournament final, 3-0, over visiting Crossroads Christian on Tuesday.

The Eagles, who finished 8-1 overall, recognized eighth-grade players at their final game of the season.

Gwynn Young had a goal and two assists Tuesday. Harper Shook and Charlotte Aldredge each had goals. Sloane Young had an assist.

Lily Gotlibowski finished with three saves.’

The Eagles allowed only three goals in MCC play. CFCA scored 47 goals for the season.
