Eagles celebrate seniors in MCC sweep of Bradford

Cape Fear Christian Academy recognized senior basketball players and cheerleaders while posting a Mid-Carolina 1-A Conference sweep of Bradford Academy on Tuesday night.

The CFCA boys improved to 11-9 overall and 7-2 in league play with a 67-43 victory.

Zeke Brock led the scoring with 21 points. Cole Godwin had 12 points and Wyatt Medlin added 11.

The Lady Eagles moved to 5-8 on the season and 4-3 in the conference with a 63-30 win.

Glenna McLamb had 22 points. Ella John Dupree scored 21. Perri Caroline Ennis netted 10 points, Laney Trainer tallied nine and Madeline Brocious added one point.

“Proud of my team for how we competed,” said CFCA girls coach Ray Butts. “Great game and win for us.”

The Eagles host Crossroads Christian on Friday evening for junior varsity boys, varsity girls and varsity boys matchups.
