Eagles celebrate standouts at athletic banquet, Brock’s No. 0 hoops uniform retired

Cape Fear Christian Academy celebrated a year of athletic achievement with a banquet in the school gym on Thursday night.

The Eagles presented year-end awards as well as honors in spring sports.

CFCA won Mid-Carolina Conference championships in middle school and varsity baseball.

The Eagles had an unbeaten season in middle school boys golf.

Athlete of the Year awards went presented to Zeke Brock for the boys and Ella John Dupree for the girls.

Dupree played five sports — tennis, volleyball, basketball, girls soccer and was on the track and field team in addition to cheerleading.

Brock made all-state in his first year playing soccer as a senior. He scored over 2,000 points for his basketball career. He was all-conference in baseball and qualified for the state meet in track and field in the 100 meter and the long jump.

Brick’s No. 0 jersey in basketball was retired at the end of the program.
