Eagles dominant in girls tennis wins over Village, Wake Christian

Cape Fear Christian Academy finished regular-season girls tennis play in the Sandhills Athletic Conference with a 4-0 record as the Eagles defeated visiting Village, 9-0, on Tuesday.

CFCA improved to 10-1 overall with a 9-0 win over host Wake Christian on Thursday at Lions Park in Raleigh.

Singles winners for the Eagles at Nos. 1-6 in both matches were Ella John Dupree, Aubrey Jackson, Nina Sauer, Karson Hamilton, Anna Jackson and Savannah Autry.

Teaming up in Nos. 1-3 doubles were Dupree and Anna Jackson, Hamilton and Aubrey Jackson, and Sauer and Autry.

Charlotte Aldredge and Ella Butts had 8-0 exhibition wins on Tuesday for CFCA.

The Eagles host Fayetteville Christian in the SAC tournament championship on Tuesday. CFCA will recognize Anna Jackson, Aubrey Jackson and Nina Sauer on Senior Day.
