Cape Fear Christian Academy posted junior varsity and varsity volleyball wins at Fayetteville Academy on Monday.

The CFCA middle school team won both of its Southeastern Conference matches at Northwood Temple.

CFCA started the season with a 3-1 nonconference loss at home to Fayetteville Academy on August 17. CFCA reversed the outcome with a 3-0 win (25-22, 25-23, 25-15) in the rematch.

“This shows how far we have come,” said CFCA coach Paul Hobbs. “Our covering was so much better which led us to the win. We were down 6-1 in the third set, but they battled back with great communication and team work to pull it out.”

The CFCA varsity is 9-5 overall.

CFCA took the JV match, 2-0 (25-8, 25-13) to remain unbeaten.
