Glenna McLamb and Finley Phillips combined for a no-hitter as Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity softball team improved to 3-0 with a 15-0 win in three innings over visiting Fayetteville Christian on Tuesday.
McLamb had three strikeouts in one inning and Phillips whiffed four in two innings.
The Warriors (0-3) issued 10 walks, allowed six hits and hit five batters.
McLamb helped the cause offensively with two hits, three runs and four RBIs. She had a 2-run homer.
Kristina Kennedy had two hits, three runs and a pair of RBIs.
Megan Harrold had a hit and scored a run. Caylee Braswell had a run and an RBI. Hailey Dupree had a hit and drove in two runs. Sailor Phillips had a hit and an RBI. Larah Tripp, Finley Phillips and Hailey Wangelin each scored two runs.
CFCA is scheduled to visit Wayne Christian for a middle school/varsity softball doubleheader on Thursday.
