Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity softball team took a 13-1 scrimmage victory in five innings over visiting Wallace-Rose Hill on Thursday.
The Eagles had 12 hits and committed one error.
Glenna McLamb pitched three innings for CFCA and Finley Phillips pitched two. The duo combined for nine strikeouts and did not allow an earned run.
Megan Harrold was 2-for-2 with a double and was hit by pitches twice.
Kristina Kennedy was 2-foe-3 with two doubles and a walk. Glenna McLamb was 3-for-3 and was hit by a pitch.
Caylee Braswell was 2-for-3 and was hit by a pitch.
CFCA had opened the season with a 9-5 win at Fayetteville Christian on February 20.
“The team continues to improve every practice and is building trust in each other the more they are on the field together,” said Eagles coach Greg Kennedy.
CFCA plays at Harrells on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
