Eagles win MCC middle school hoops matchups with Lee Christian

Cape Fear Christian Academy won its Mid-Carolina Conference middle school basketball games with visiting Lee Christian on Tuesday.

The CFCA girls won, 25-23, before the Eagle boys improved to 9-1 by a 52-9 margin.

Eli Shwaikeh had 20 points, all in the first half, in the boys game.

River Stancil scored seven points in the win. Luke Meyer and Henry Smith had six points each.

Reid Jones had five points. Braxton Register tallied four points. Ben Thompson and Sam Hudson added two points apiece.

Girls

Carolina Wynns had 10 points. Bijou Hester scored five.

Hayden Deese and Finlee Ring had four points each. Knorah Whitmore had two points.

The CFCA middle school teams host Crossroads on Thursday. The girls game is scheduled for 4 p.m. with the boys game to follow.
