Eighth-graders Hailey Dupree, Raylon Hood, Finley Phillips and Sailor Phillips of Cape Fear Christian Academy’s middle school softball team were recognized before a 19-0 win in three innings Wednesday over Old Main Stream Academy of Pembroke.
Finley Phillips pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts. Offensively, she had two singles, a walk and two stolen bases.
Sailor Phillips had two singles, two RBIs and two stolen bases. Kamryn Knight had two hits with a double, walk, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Kinsley Godwin had two hits with a triple, two RBIs and a stolen base.
Hailey Dupree had two hits, an RBI and two stolen bases. Finlee Ring had a single and a walk. Raylon Hood had a triple, a walk, one RBI and a stolen base. Avery Denton had a single, two walks and a stolen base.
Tianna McKoy and Lauren Jeffries each drew walks as the Eagles improved to 4-1.
