The father-son team of Brian Ennis and River Ennis from Angler were second in an 86-boat fishing tournament on Jordan Lake on Saturday.

The Ennis team had 19.27 pounds in the event at Farrington Point on the Piedmont Bass Tournament Trail, just 0.64 pounds behind the first-place total.

Brian Ennis coaches the Cape Fear Christian Academy fishing team. River Ennis has won multiple state titles for the Eagles.

River Ennis, a freshman, aspires to fish competitively on the college level.
