A new fishing season got started Saturday at Lake Tillery and Cape Fear Christian Academy was well represented.

The brothers team of River and Reed Ennis were first in the Junior Division of the tournament sponsored by the North Carolina Student Angler Federation.

Reid Miller and Wyatt Medlin of CFCA were third.

The Ennis brothers were the primary competitors for the Eagles last year when they won the state championship. Their dad, Brian, is their boat captain.

The team has expanded. Aubrey Jackson, Meredith Taylor and Thomas Yoo also went to Lake Tillery.

The next tournament is at Lake Waccamaw on Oct. 12.
