Dillon Faircloth’s two-run double in the bottom of the fifth drove in Jacob Hartman with the winning run as Coats-Erwin’s baseball team took a 10–0 win over Highland in the Falcons’ final home game of the season on Thursday.
Now 9-2 on the season, Coats-Erwin finishes its season Monday at Overhills.
Hayden Pope went the distance on the mound for the shutout, pitching a two hitter while striking out 13.
Faircloth and Shay Jackson led the Falcons with two hits each. Adding base hits for Coats-Erwin were Hunter Thompson, Riley Colville, Pope, Jamari Thompson, and Jalen Evans.
