Five Cape Fear Christian Academy fall sports athletes have been named to North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association 1-A all-state teams.
Senior Ella John Dupree and junior Karson Hamilton made all-state in girls tennis after leading the Eagles to a runner-up finish in the NCISAA tournament. Dupree played No. 1 in singles and Hamilton was No. 2. The duo played the No. 1 doubles for the Eagles, who went 10-2 in 2023.
Dupree was 8-2 in singles and Hamilton was 7-3. They were 8-2 as a doubles team.
CFCA had two representatives in boys soccer with sophomore Caden Scarborough making the all-state team for the second straight year. He was joined by senior Zeke Brock, a former all-state selection in basketball, who was playing soccer for the first time.
Scarborough had a team high 21 goals in leading CFCA (6-8) to the NCISAA semifinals. Brock had three goals and paced the team in assists with seven.
Sophomore Bailey Dorman made all-state in volleyball for the second straight year as she helped the Eagles to a 16-7 record and a berth in the NCISAA quarterfinals with 284 kills, 27 blocks, 91 aces and 557 digs.

Caden Scarborough had 21 goals for Cape Fear Christian in 2023.
