The Campbell baseball team, which hasn’t played since March 23, returns to action at home today with a Big South Conference doubleheader against Winthrop. Games are scheduled for 2 and 6 p.m. Spectators are not allowed but the games can be viewed online through links on the baseball schedule at gocamels.com. … The Campbell volleyball team improved to 10-5 with a 3-0 win over Radford on Friday and hosts the Highlanders at 2 p.m. today for Senior Day. … Roy Williams announced his retirement as basketball coach at North Carolina on Thursday after winning 903 games in 33 years at Kansas and UNC. He directed the Tar Heels to NCAA championships in 2005, 2009 and 2017. … D.J. Steward is entering the NBA draft after averaging 13.0 points as a freshman at Duke. … Miguel Cabrera of host Detroit hit the first home run of the 2021 major league season in snow and slid into second base thinking the ball had stayed in the park as the Tigers topped Cleveland, 3-2. … Camilo Villegas leads the Texas Open at 8-under par going into today’s second round (Golf Channel, 4 p.m.).
