Fuquay-Varina Twins sweep Lillington

The Fuquay-Varina Twins swept a doubleheader from Lillington on Sunday at Western Harnett High School.

The Twins took the first game, 10-2, and completed the sweep with a 7-1 victory.

Fuquay-Varina has clinched the regular-season title in the Carolina-Virginia Summer College League.

The Twins start play in the league tournament on Wednesday at Tarboro Municipal Stadium.
