Green Hope holds on for 28-21 win against Hawks

Triton rallied in its nonconference varsity football matchup with visiting Green Hope after trailing 21-0 but was topped 28-21 on Friday night.

Romello Cowan got the scoring started for the hosts with a 70-yard run in the third quarter for his 11th touchdown of the season.

After the Falcons went ahead 28-7, Hawks quarterback J.P Petoletti threw touchdown passes to Travion Sanders covering 58 and 55 yards.

The 3-A Hawks are 1-3 with all three losses to 4-A foes. The Falcons improved to 3-1.

Triton visits 3-A West Johnston (0-4) in a nonconference matchup on Friday night.
