Hawk baseball falls at Village

by | Apr 17, 2018 | Triton

After ending a 14-game losing streak Friday night with a 6-3 varsity baseball win at Tri-County Six 3-A Conference leader Southern Lee, Triton fell 9-1 at independent Village Christian of Fayetteville on Monday afternoon.

“We were not mentally into the game and did not have a good offensive approach at all,” said Hawks coach Joey Miriello.

Freshman Dalen Thompson went 2-for-3 for the Hawks (2-15), who opened the season with a 9-8 win over the Knights. Sophomore Christian Tyndall had the only other hit for Triton.

Senior Andrew Hollers had six RBIs for Village (8-6).

The Hawks were without Grayson Bradham, who was 4-for-4 on Friday night. He is on a field trip to Washington, D.C., and also will miss Triton’s league game at home against Lee tonight (Tuesday, April 17).
