Triton took a 25-0 All American Conference varsity softball win over visiting Terry Sanford on Friday night as the Hawks improved to 6-0 in league play.
The softball outcome prevented a varsity sweep by the Bulldogs, who topped the Hawks, 7-2, in baseball and, 2-0, in girls soccer.
Softball
Aubree Bass and Sydney Bradham combined for the shutout with Bass allowing one hit in four innings. Bradham held the Bulldogs hitless in the fifth.
Berkley Campbell and Gracie Byrd each had two hits with a double. Stephanie Davis had two hits.
“Everyone on the roster had at least one hit, including subs,” noted Triton coach Mark Whitman.
Baseball
Ross Stevens hit a home run for Triton (7-2, 3-2 AAC), which lost for the second time in a week to the Bulldogs, who improved to 6-0 in the conference.
Sophomore Ethan Nobles pitched a complete game for the visitors. He allowed eight hits and two earned runs while walking three and striking out 11.
Jalen Evans had two hits with a triple and a run for Triton. Braxton Davis had two hits with an RBI.
Girls Soccer
Abby Sherrill had both goals for the Bulldogs.
