Hawks honor top athletes

Colton Neighbors was named Male Athlete of the Year and Alexis Howard was honored as Female Athlete of the Year as Triton held its Athletic Awards Banquet on Thursday night.

Neighbors was a standout in football and baseball for the Hawks.

Howard played basketball and softball. She has signed to play softball at Louisburg.

The Academic Award went to Ella Layn for girls and Colin Licary for boys.

Layn and Austin Riewestahl were presented with the Bobby Tart Coach’s Awads.

The Charles Whitney Bradham Sportsmanship Awards went to Sarah Phillips and Noah Currin.

Zoie Starling and Paul Wells received the Bill Tart Most Versatile Awards.

The Bill Boyette Best All-Around Student-Athlete Awards were presented to Daughtry Williams and Jalonte McNeill.

The Hawks also recognized athletes in individual sports.
